Opening an Etsy shop is free and easy. First, log in or sign up on Etsy's main page. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Open Your Etsy Shop. This will take you to your shop preferences page where you can fill in essential details such as your shop's name and location. Once you've set up your shop preferences, Etsy will prompt you to create your first listings so your shop can open for business.

If you have a creative mind and graphic design skill, party supplies—think baby showers, kids' birthday parties, and especially weddings—is another area that sees a lot of sales. If you'd like to sell your art prints or craft templates, Etsy allows you to sell printable downloads to interested buyers around the world. Sign into your Etsy shop account and click Shop Manager. From there, click on Settings, then Info and Appearance. This is where you will find your current shop name and the button that will allow you to change it. Enter your new shop name, then save. At this time Etsy limits how many times you can change your shop name, so be sure you want to switch names before you finalize the change. If you find yourself wanting to rebrand after you run out of permitted changes, you will need to contact Etsy customer service.
