German curator of Vitra Design Museum Mea Hoffmann gives an introduction of the Plastic: Remaking Our World exhibition during a media preview at the National Museum of Singapore in Singapore, 23 January 2024. Plastic: Remaking Our World is a traveling exhibition by Vitra Design Museum, V&A Dundee, and The Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology (MAAT) Lisbon, exploring the rise, environmental impact, and future of plastics. Showcasing more than 300 exhibits including early plastic rarities, pop era artefacts, and modern designs, the exhibition intertwines Singapore's unique plastic history with both tangible and digital displays from the National Collection and an interactive segment for deeper engagement. The exhibition will run from 27 January to 23 June 2024 at the National Museum of Singapore.
