Before the Russian invasion he was the CEO of a small company, which traded spare parts for cars. Jimmy decided to enlist to the army in March 2022, after his home town of Chernihiv came under attack. After several months in the army he got a short military education and became the commander of a company of soldiers. Russian troops entered Ukrainian territory in February 2022, starting a conflict that has provoked destruction and a humanitarian crisis.
